Snow Report
Last update: Monday, 10th Aug 2026
Porters is open with all lifts running from 9am.
At 5:45am we have partly cloudy skies, light north westerly winds in the base area, increasing to light to moderate on the upper mountain. The temperature is 3 degrees. The forecast is for skies to clear throughout the day to mostly sunny, with wind becoming light at all elevations, and warming temperatures.
We received a skiff of new snow from mid to upper mountain overnight.
Upper and mid mountain trails through McNulty’s and Stellar Bowl will be skiing and riding well today, with great cord and pockets of fresh snow in places. Sundance is ungroomed and will offer up some great conditions under clearing skies.
Easy Street and the Beginners Area have been groomed wide, and with softening snow, our lower mountain terrain will be the perfect place to practice your turns and build confidence. Pop into the ski school and book a lesson with one of our expert instructors.
Off trail will have some good options with new snow and sun, and we will be opening as much of this terrain as possible throughout the day.
Our road today is chain free. We recommend that all vehicles carry chains in winter, as conditions can change rapidly.
Our free shuttle service will be doing return trips throughout the day, picking up at Chain Bay 2 (and the lodge on request) at 9:30am and 10:30am. Return shuttles will be available all afternoon.
Porters Lodge Restaurant and Bar will be open for coffee from 10am, and meals from 11am.
Snowplay at the Lodge will be opening at 10am today. Chains are not required to access the Lodge or Snowplay.
Atomic and Armada are at Porters today, with the full demo fleet on mountain so you can test before you invest.
We are also stoked to welcome the Black Crows crew, who are going to be on the mountain for a ski sauvage edition, with the whole range available to demo, so if you're keen to sample some of their skis while having a couple of laps with them, come on up!!!
