Snow Report
Last update: Tuesday, 21st Jul 2026
It’s looking like a bit of a copy and paste on yesterday’s report, which is no bad thing because it was an amazing day at Porters, and more of the same will be very welcome!
Porters is open with all lifts running, the road is chain free and the forecast today is for a mix of high cloud and sunshine with light winds.
It’s going to be a great day to enjoy some uncrowded slopes and the friendly vibe that Porters is famous for.
At 5:45am we have light winds at all elevations and scattered high cloud. The temperature in the base area is currently 0 degrees.
McNultys has been groomed wide all the way down to Stellar Bowl, and with great snow coverage it will be the pick of the day.
Off trail and lower mountain has some thin cover in places and deep drifted snow in others. With a return to colder temperatures, we fired up our snow making system on the lower mountain yesterday, and gave Easy Street and the learners area a nice top up of chalky snow.
The lower mountain trails and beginners area have groomed up nicely overnight, and with low crowds expected today, this will be a great place to work on your turns.
Book a lesson with one of our amazing instructors and get your technique dialled in for expected new snow later this week.
Our shuttle service will be running return trips throughout the day, picking up at Chain Bay 2 (and the lodge on request) at 9:30am and 10:30am. Return shuttles will be available all afternoon.
Porters Lodge Restaurant and Bar will be closed today and tomorrow, re-opening Thursday morning. Snowplay will be closed until at least this coming weekend, when we are expecting to see some more snow.
