Porters is open with all lifts spinning from 9am.

After an epic weekend at Porters, we are welcoming the new week with more of the same – wall to wall snow, blue skies, light winds and pleasant temperatures. It’s going to be another amazing day.

At 5:45am, we have clear skies, and light winds at all elevations. This is forecast to continue throughout the day. The temperature is currently minus 2. Sunblock is definitely going to be needed today.

Snowmaking has continued overnight on our lower mountain trails, which are in fantastic shape. We have groomed our upper and mid mountain trails wide overnight, and we expect to get Big Mama and Bluff Face open again today.

Chains are required on all vehicles from chain bay 3 at Longspur.

Please fit them where indicated. We do not sell or hire chains.

If you don’t have chains, or would prefer not to drive our access road, there will be a free shuttle for skiers and snowboarders. Our shuttle service will be running return trips throughout the day, picking up at Chain Bay 2 (and the lodge on request) at 9:30am and 10:30am. Return shuttles will be available all afternoon.

We have a range of Black Crows demo skis, in all sizes, available in our rentals department. Skis are $79 a day, or $99 with Lange boots. Pop into rentals if you already have a pass, see Antoine and the team, and get fitted out with some shiny high end skis, and make the most of the awesome conditions on the mountain.

Porters Lodge Restaurant and Bar, just 6km up our access road, will be open for coffee from 9am, and meals from 11am. Pop in for a bite to eat after your day on the mountain, the food will impress.

Snowplay at the Lodge will be open from 10am-4pm today.
