Porters is open with all lifts spinning, the road is chain free and the forecast today is for a mix of high cloud and sunshine with light to moderate winds.

After a good run of snowmaking this week, our lower mountain trails on Easy Street and the Learners Area are looking really good.

Upper mountain intermediate trails got a little top up of natural snow yesterday morning, and will be the place to be first thing today, groomed wide and with great cord to enjoy some turns on. Upper lift operations may be impacted by wind later today.

At 5:45am we have light winds from the north west in the base area, rising to moderate on the upper mountain, with scattered high cloud. The temperature in the base area is currently 5 degrees.

Our shuttle service will be running return trips throughout the day, picking up at Chain Bay 2 (and the lodge on request) at 9:30am and 10:30am. Return shuttles will be available all afternoon.

Porters Lodge Restaurant and Bar, just 6km up our access road, will be open from 2pm. Pop in for a bite to eat after your day on the mountain, the food will impress.
