Porters is closed today. We currently have low level clouds, limited visibility and a wet snowpack on the lower mountain.

Yesterday and overnight, we received consistent snow on the upper mountain, and a mix of snow and rain on the lower slopes. We are going to give the ski area a rest today so that lower slopes can drain, and we can preserve the snow that is there before putting machinery into those areas.

Mid and upper mountain has received 20-30cm of new snow. We expect to be open on Tuesday, with good weather (at last) and there to be some superb skiing and riding to be had at upper elevations. We will not groom Sundance, so get up to Porters on Tuesday, and score some pow.

There is no access to the ski area today. We have machinery working on the road and the upper mountain. The gate is locked just past the turn off for the Lodge.

Porters Lodge Restaurant and Bar will be closed today and Tuesday.

Snowplay is closed today.
