Closed today as the storm continues.

It was a wild night at Porters, lots of snow fell – about 40 - 50cm of new snow on the ski area after dark through to sunrise. In the last 24 hours we have had about 60cm, and the storm total is around 90cm at upper elevations.

It’s fair to say that once we can get up to the ski area to complete control work and do some digging, we will be opening with some of the best early season conditions we have seen for a long time.

There are a couple more days to play out with this system, so we will keep the updates coming on expected opening times.

We will be open as soon as we can be.

For an idea of how much snow we have had in the last 24 hours, have a look at the lodge webcam and play it in reverse. We will get some pictures up on our socials as the storm allows.

Our access road is closed from the gate at the state highway. There is no access permitted to the Lodge or ski area until the storm has cleared and we able to complete control work.
