Season Passes 2025
The 2025 Season Pass is valid for the pass holders personal use from the date of issue until the close of the 2025 season at Porters Ski Area on all days when the lifts are operating.
All students must show Tertiary Institution full ID and proof of full-time status to uplift their pass. Available for New Zealand and Australian Students only. An apprentice earning a wage while learning is not considered to be enrolled fulltime at a tertiary institution. Please contact us if you are unsure
The Season Pass is non-transferable and is valid for the use by the pass holder only
The Season Pass holder is responsible for any unauthorised use of the Season Pass unless the Season Pass has been reported lost or stolen. A $5 charge will be made for a replacement pass
Misconduct may result in the revocation of the Season Pass without refund. Any decision will be at the sole discretion of Porters Ski Area management. The meaning of ‘misconduct’ includes reckless skiing or snowboarding, failure to obey signs, closures and policies of the ski area, failure to obey the snow responsibility code, the provision of false information herein or breach of any other terms or conditions expressed or implied relating to the use of the ski area.
The company may alter the terms and conditions applying to this pass at any time without notice. The pass remains the property of Porters Ski Area at all times
All rates printed/published by Porters Ski Area are displayed in New Zealand dollars (NZD$), are true and correct at the time of printing/publishing and are subject to change at any time without notice
Once purchased, a Porters season pass cannot be refunded under any circumstance even if it has not been used at all due to personal circumstances or poor weather / snow conditions. If a customer chooses to purchase the warranty option, the passholder may transfer the season pass to the following season, provided all warranty terms and conditions have been met and a written request to transfer the pass is received by 10th July 2025. The cost of the warranty is non-refundable
Ages are calculated as of 30/06/2025 for all age rates.
Programs
The program fee cannot be refunded due to cancellations or injuries during the course.
Lift passes and rental gear are not included in the program fee. These must be purchased separately.
Lessons start at the scheduled time, in case of arriving late no refund or rescheduling is applicable.
In case of closed days back-up days for lessons will be communicated to the customer. No credit for next year.
Minimum of 4 attendees required for the programs to go ahead. Cancelled and refunded otherwise.
Insurance is not included in the program but is highly recommended.
Online Sales
All online purchases are non-transferable and non-refundable. No refunds or credits will be given on any pre-purchased products, even if they are not picked-up or used. This applies to all products. Ski school lessons & programs can be re-scheduled, up to 24 hours prior to the lesson starts.
In general, all purchased lift passes are non-refundable, this also applies for closing days, as lift passes are not date-specific and are valid for the 2025 ski season.
Porters Season Pass Warranty
Without purchasing the pass warranty option, the value of your season pass is non-transferable under any circumstances.
The price of the warranty option is $20 for each pass holder.
The season pass warranty is only valid when purchased concurrently with your season pass.
The season pass warranty includes a snow conditions warranty. If you are not happy with the conditions of the snow (until 10th July 2025) you may transfer your season pass to the 2026 season.
If you need to claim against your warranty for what you believe to be marginal snow conditions, or you have suffered an injury that prevents you from skiing/snowboarding, we must receive your request in writing by 10th July 2025 via email communication to office@skiporters.co.nz
We will not accept warranty claims after 10th July 2025.
All 2025 warranties are valid for the 2025 winter season. The applicable value/pass purchased may be up taken in the 2025 season provided all warranty terms and conditions have been met. If the warranty is not taken in the 2025 season, the warranty expires on 12th July 2025.
Should the warranty be claimed during the 2025 season and the pass transferred to the following season, the warranty shall then expire and no further transfer of the initially purchased season pass may occur thereafter.
Payment Plans
Instalment plans are not interchangeable.

DEFAULT OF PAYMENT:
If you purchase using the Porters Ski Area Limited instalment option, the below applies to the default of payment.
If any instalment payment is not made, e.g. due to the credit card payment being declined or reversed, or failure to update credit card details when a card is replaced or lost, Porters Ski Area Limited reserves the right to charge a default administration fee of $20 per instance of a late or failed instalment payment.
Customers can update their credit card details online, but should they wish to do so over the phone please email office@skiporters.co.nz and request a call back. The email requesting a call back must be sent at least 5 business days before the next instalment date.
Porters Ski Area Limited will not be responsible for the failure by the customer to make payment on the due date for any reason.

PAYMENTS REQUIRED:
You are required to make each payment of the amount specified and by the time specified. Payment plans are not interchangeable.
By selecting to make payment on the Porters Ski Area Limited payment plan, the customer hereby agrees to Porters Ski Area Limited automatically charging the customer’s credit card as supplied, with the % amount of the product purchased as specified below on the payment dates as listed below.
Payment Plan available up to 30/04/2025
Payment 1: at the time of purchase is 34% of the total purchase price plus 100% of any admin fees.
Payment 2: on 20/05/2025 – 33% of purchase price excluding any admin fees.
Payment 3: on 20/06/2025 – 33% of purchase price excluding any admin fees.

Initial unpaid balance:
This is the amount you will owe when you request to pay for your selected product from Porters Ski Area Ltd using the Payment Plan. The initial unpaid balance is the figure reflecting the total amount payable as disclosed during the transaction process.
If the initial payment is not paid you are NOT eligible for the Payment Plan. The initial unpaid balance is also referred to as the instalment balance due.
At any stage of the payment plan, the customer has the ability to pay the total outstanding balance due (including full prepayment).
Please note that a credit card surcharge of 2% may apply to your instalment payments. A credit card surcharge of 2% may apply to payments that do not use the Porters Payment Plan.
For each cart checkout with products on a payment plan, a $20 administration fee will be charged, and 100% of this administration fee will be payable in the initial payment.

CREDIT FEES AND CHARGES:
Outside of a credit card surcharge, there is a $20 per product administration fee charged for purchases on a Payment Plan. If multiple products are added to the cart and paid on a Payment Plan, there will be a $20 administration fee charged per product in the cart. Your credit contract may allow the creditor to vary this/these fee(s) and charge(s). Please see “what could happen if you fail to meet your commitments” below.
WHAT COULD HAPPEN IF YOU FAIL TO MEET YOUR COMMITMENTS:
Default of payment:

Porters Ski Area Ltd will not be responsible for the failure of the customer to make payment on the due date for any reason.
Statement of right to cancel:
The Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003 gives you a right for a short time after the terms of this contract have been disclosed to you to cancel the contract.
How to cancel:
If you want to cancel this contract you must give written notice to the creditor, Porters Ski Area Ltd, either by email or post, at the contact details provided in this document.
Time limits for cancellation:
If the disclosure documents are handed to you directly you must give notice that you intend to cancel within 3 working days after you receive the documents.
If the disclosure documents are sent to you by electronic means (for example, email) you must give notice that you intend to cancel within 5 working days after the electronic communication is sent.
What you may have to pay if you cancel:
If you cancel the contract the creditor can charge you
- the full price of the passes applicable at the time that payment is finally made or
- cancel the pass and hold any amounts paid as a cancellation fee.
This statement only contains a summary of your rights and obligations in connection with the right to cancel and refers to the cancellation of the pass and the recovery of reasonable expense by Porters Ski Area Limited. If there is anything about your rights or obligations under the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003 that you do not understand, if there is a dispute about your rights, or if you think that the creditor is being unreasonable in any way, you should seek legal advice immediately.
The Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003 gives you, as the debtor, a right to apply to the creditor (Porters Ski Area Ltd) for changes in the terms of your obligations to them in the event of unforeseen hardship.
CHANGES ON GROUNDS OF UNFORESEEN HARDSHIP:
Unforeseen hardship is where a debtor is unable reasonably, because of illness, injury, loss of employment, the end of a relationship, or other reasonable cause, to meet their obligations under their contract with the creditor. The debtor must reasonably expect to be able to meet their obligations if the terms of the contract are changed.
A request for a change in terms must be given in writing to the creditor specifying the reasonable cause that the payment cannot be made and outlining the requested change. The change might be extending the length of the contract and reducing the amount of each payment or postponing a payment(s) for a specified period. The requested change must be fair and reasonable to both the debtor and the creditor in all circumstances.
CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS:
All passes and products are considered non-refundable and non-transferable unless specified elsewhere in our terms and conditions. Please see our full terms and conditions.
Season Pass products will not be refundable (monetary or credit) under any circumstances unless a warranty has been purchased.
Issue and collection of Season Passes:
Season Passes will not be issued or available for collection until full payment of the Payment Plan has been received.
Disclosure:
The customer consents to Porters Ski Area Limited making disclosures required by the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003 in an electronic form, by means of email.
