Packages can be purchased online, booking of dates to: lodge@skiporters.co.nz 

Packages cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and are subject to availability.

Once purchased the package is non-refundable.

Once purchased, packages are valid for use until April 17th , 2023.

Packages on sale until 31st January.

MTB Private shuttle & stay available mid-week only (Monday-Friday).

Eat & Stay Lodge package and Family Eat & Stay Lodge package can be booked for any day the lodge is open.

Included beverage in Eat & Stay Lodge Package and Family Eat & Stay Lodge package is a soft drink from the fridge range.

 

 

MTB Shuttles

 

General

Terms and conditions of Porters Alpine Resort (including our affiliate services/businesses Porters Lodge & MTB Shuttles). Please read carefully the following terms and conditions. In purchasing following products, you (meaning the person making the booking) agree to be bound by these conditions that form the agreement between Porters Alpine Resort and you, the passenger. All rates printed/published by Porters Alpine Resort are displayed in New Zealand dollars (NZD$), include GST, are true and correct at the time of printing/publishing and are subject to change at any time without notice.

 

Assumption of Risk and Safety Declaration

  • Use of the Public and Private MTB Shuttles provided by Porters Alpine Resort is at your own risk and is a self-guided activity. We will not accept liability to the passenger for death, sickness or any other injury; or for damage of equipment while using our services.
  • You acknowledge that: MTB riding can be more challenging and demanding with a high level of risk and involves potential exposure to injury and possibly death.
  • You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your riding and own judgement to participate within your capabilities and that you are solely responsible for your health and well-being. It is your responsibility to understand and accept trail grade and difficulty. We accept no responsibility if you book services for trails that are outside of your cycling ability level. In case of a private group booking, you are responsible for the safety of all group members and agree that you understand fitness & skill levels required for trails. You can always ask our staff if unsure.
  • It is mandatory for all participating clients to notify Porters Alpine Resort of any medical conditions (physically and mentally) that could impact activity prior to the start of the MTB shuttle service.
  • Personal bikes and safety equipment must be of good standard, in working order and adequately suitable for the trails they intend to be ridden on.

 

Private Shuttle Bookings

A deposit of 20% of the price needs to be paid upon booking a private shuttle service. Only available midweek, starting from Porters Lodge.

We appreciate that unforeseen circumstances may lead to cancellation of plans, and have set out the following Cancellation & Refund Policies for private shuttle bookings:

  • Cancellations 48 hours beforehand: Deposit fee (20%) will be paid
  • Cancellations less than 48 hours beforehand: Full Price

Bookings can be transferred to another date without losing the deposit.

Public Shuttles

  • First uplift: 10am, last uplift: 3.30pm
  • 5 & 10 rides card is shareable between riders
  • Non-refundable
  • Full price to be paid upon purchase
  • Maximum shuttle capacity of 10 people, waiting times may occur
  • Pre-booking of shuttle essential (via email or phone)

 

MTB Season Pass Terms & Conditions

  • The MTB Season Pass Summer 22/23 is valid for the pass holders personal use from the date of issue until the close of the 22/23 MTB season at Porters Alpine Resort on all days when the public shuttles are operating.
  • The Season Pass is non-transferable and is valid for the use by the pass holder only (non shareable).
  • The Season Pass holder is responsible for any unauthorised use of the Season Pass unless the Season Pass has been reported lost or stolen. A $5 charge will be made for a replacement pass.
  • Pre-booking of shuttle essential (via email or phone)
  • Misconduct may result in the revocation of the Season Pass without refund. Any decision will be at the sole discretion of Porters Alpine Resort management. The meaning of ‘misconduct’ includes failure to obey signs, closures and policies of the ski area, failure to obey the mountain bike guidelines, the provision of false information herein or breach of any other terms or conditions expressed or implied relating to the use of the ski area.
  • The company may alter the terms and conditions applying to this pass at any time without notice. The pass remains the property of Porters Alpine Resort at all times
  • Once purchased, a Porters MTB season pass cannot be refunded under any circumstance even if it has not been used at all due to personal circumstances or weather conditions.

Cancellations by the Provider

Porters Alpine Resort reserves the right to cancel or change the date of departure and end time of shuttle service, modify any aspect of an activity or itinerary within the activity, or delay any such aspect of the activity or services if in the absolute discretion of Porters Alpine Resort it is necessary to do so due to high winds, rain, snow, ice, or any condition that Porters Alpine Resort considers to be hazardous, dangerous, adverse, or threatening to the activity. The weather and road conditions leading up to the activity will also be considered as it effects conditions of the trails and natural environments.

In the event of any change, modification, cancellation, postponement or delay under these conditions, you acknowledge that you will have no right of refund of the service price (whether in whole or in part) and no right to claim compensation for any injury, loss or damage or other additional expenses incurred by virtue of change, modification, cancellation, postponement or delay.

 

Minors

  • Children under 15 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Minors under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult age of 18.
  • Minors aged 15 years and over may travel unaccompanied, but supervision and safety are the sole responsibility of their parent/guardian.

 

Behaviour, Alcohol and Substances

  • The consumption of alcohol and illegal substances on any shuttle vehicle of Porters Alpine Resort is strictly prohibited.
  • The smoking of cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vapers or the carrying, using or selling of any prohibited/illegal substance is also prohibited.
  • We will require any passenger to disembark, or permission to board will be refused, if in the opinion of Porters Alpine Resort or the shuttle driver and in their sole discretion:

 

  • The passenger appears to be or is affected by alcohol or drugs
  • There is a threat to any passenger or Porters Alpine Resort staff member as a result of violent, abusive or aggressive behaviour. Violence, abuse or aggression in any form will not be tolerated and we will report any such behaviour to the police.

 

Porters Alpine Resort reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these terms & conditions at any time. We will communicate any changes two weeks beforehand.

 

 

 

 

 

SnowNPlay, First Timer, Easy Rider packages: 

Purchasing your package online does not secure your spot in a lesson. To book in for these please contact Guest Services (office@skiporters.co.nz) one day prior to your arrival on your mountain.

Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

 

Group lodge offer.

Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and is subject to availability. Once purchased the package is non-refundable.

Package is for 4 people and includes 1 room, 4 x Dinner ( Burger & Fries ) 4 x adult lift passes.

Extra person $89. Max 6 persons.

Valid for the 2022 winter season.

Saturdays/Sundays not available.

 

 

Book of 5 private lessons. 

Extra person in lesson $50.

Valid for 2022 winter season.

Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

 

 

 Terms & Conditions season passes 2023:

 

  • The 2023 Season Pass is valid for the pass holders personal use from the date of issue until the close of the 2023 season at Porters Ski Area on all days when the lifts are operating.
  • All students must show Tertiary Institution full ID and proof of full-time status to uplift their pass. Available for New Zealand and Australian Students only. An apprentice earning a wage while learning is not considered to be enrolled fulltime at a tertiary institution. Please contact us if you are unsure
  • The Season Pass is non-transferable and is valid for the use by the pass holder only
  • The Season Pass holder is responsible for any unauthorised use of the Season Pass unless the Season Pass has been reported lost or stolen. A $5 charge will be made for a replacement pass

  • The company may alter the terms and conditions applying to this pass at any time without notice. The pass remains the property of Porters Ski Area at all times
  • All rates printed/published by Porters Ski Area are displayed in New Zealand dollars (NZD$), are true and correct at the time of printing/publishing and are subject to change at any time without notice
  • Once purchased, a Porters season pass cannot be refunded under any circumstance even if it has not been used at all due to personal circumstances or poor weather / snow conditions. If a customer chooses to purchase the warranty option, the passholder may transfer the season pass to the following season, provided all warranty terms and conditions have been met and a written request to transfer the pass is received by 10th July 2023. The cost of the warranty is non-refundable
  • Ages are calculated as of 30/06/2023 for all age rates.
PORTERS SEASON PASS WARRANTY
  • Without purchasing the pass warranty option, the value of your season pass is non-transferable under any circumstances.
  • The price of the warranty option is $20 for each pass holder.
  • The season pass warranty is only valid when purchased concurrently with your season pass.
  • The season pass warranty includes a snow conditions warranty. If you are not happy with the conditions of the snow (until 10th July 2023) you may transfer your season pass to the 2024 season.
  • If you need to claim against your warranty for what you believe to be marginal snow conditions, or you have suffered an injury that prevents you from skiing/snowboarding, we must receive your request in writing by 10th July 2023 via email communication to office@skiporters.co.nz
  • We will not accept warranty claims after 10th July 2023.
  • All 2023 warranties are valid for the 2023 winter season. The applicable value/pass purchased may be up taken in the 2023 season provided all warranty terms and conditions have been met. If the warranty is not taken in the 2023 season, the warranty expires on 12th July 2023.
  • Should the warranty be claimed during the 2023 season and the pass transferred to the following season, the warranty shall then expire and no further transfer of the initially purchased season pass may occur thereafter.
DELIVERY

All early and pre-season sales of season passes will be processed prior to opening day of the 2022 season provided we have received the following;

 

  • All required information, correct and complete.
  • An appropriate and recent passport style photo for each pass (if you have had a Porters season pass previously, there is no need to send a new photo)
  • All students must show a current student NZ or Australian tertiary ID card showing fulltime status before collecting their pass.

If you still have your 2021 pass, please keep hold of it and visit Porters Guest Services on your first day here to validate your pass for the 2022 season.

Terms and Conditions Online Purchases

The following Terms & Conditions apply to Day Passes, First Timer’s Packages, Lodge Group Special and Gift Vouchers.

  • The purchases made online are valid from the date of purchase until the last day of season for the season in which they are purchased, unless otherwise stated on the product.
  • Once purchased the passes and packages are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstance, even if you are unable to visit on your preferred date due to personal circumstances, or poor weather/snow conditions.

If we are not able to accommodate you on your preferred date due to mountain capacity or lesson availability, and you are not able to visit on another date that season we will transfer the booking over to the next season.

  • For First Timer’s Packages, lessons are subject to instructor and lesson availability. Lesson check ins will close 30 minutes before lesson times. We will accept bookings for lessons via phone or email 24 hours in advance to the lesson time, subject to availability.
  • Gift Vouchers are valid in Guest Services until the last day of season of which they are purchased. They are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash in part or full and is valid for a single transaction only.
  • All students must show Tertiary Institution full ID and proof of full-time status to uplift their pass. Available for New Zealand and Australian Students only.   • If the ski field closes due to Covid-19 restrictions and does not re-open in 2022 the products purchased will be transferred to 2023.
